Hi everyone, Thank you so much for the replies. I really appreciate it. I have been so busy with work and life that I've not had much time to work on the quad lately.
When jumping the solenoid, I went across the two large terminals with a screwdriver. It did try to crank. I found that the engine was flooded with fuel due to a likely stuck needle and seat? So i drained the oil, changed filter and refilled. I have a new carburetor and petcock sitting here to replace also. I think Ill just buy a new solenoid to replace just for the sake of this conversation. Ill try to get back working on this machine in the next few days. Again, thank you all for the ideas! I will update as soon as I have some concrete progress.

Default troubleshoot the solenoid

Hi matt
really quick before you buy a new solenoid you can test it quickly. the two contacts you jumped are the switched contacts the two smaller terminals are the coil. if your good with a multimeter you can do a continuity check on the coil or if not connect one side of the coil to ground and tap the other to 12v and if the whole assembly jumps its good if nothing happens time to get a new solenoid
