Hi All,
I am working on a 03 bayou 250 as the bevel gear cover had a horrible leak. The gasket was essentially half gone.
My question is what is the torque spec for those cover bolts. they are not huge, maybe 10mm into aluminum case.. I sure don't want to screw them up.
Also, if anyone knows, it appears the stock gasket was installed with no extra sealant (silicone or the like) so i assume put it on dry ? or maybe a coating of grease and thats it ?
Any help and insight is surely appreciated.

Never done one but parts drawing shows O rings, not gaskets on joints, so just oil or grease. If thread size is M6 then most torque wrenches don't go low enough, bad to explain, but about as tight as you can get with a 4" long combination spanner, but if one feels like it is going to strip, it probably will if you keep tightening. You can cheat by putting a little thread locker on them and not tightening as tight, but it makes them harder to get out next time.
