Kawasaki Lakota rebuild

Top end rebuild on 250 Lakota I was told if I bought new jug and piston I could swap to a 300 is it possible or was he pulling my leg lol

Go to the on-line parts books, if crankshaft, con rod and crankcases have the same part numbers for both 250 and 300, the cylinders can probably be interchanged. If numbers are different, they probably can't.
