Prairie 650 Hard to start when Hot
#1
How is everyone’s Kawasaki 650's starting when they’re hot? Mine doesn't start worth a crap when it’s hot. Once started it's fine but it sure takes allot of cranking when hot.
Is anyone else having this problem?
Has anyone figured out the trick to starting the big beast hot?

No, I haven't had any problem starting my 650 when its hot. However, often, I have had to use the choke when starting the atv when its cold and when the the temperature is quite high, especially first thing in the morning. I would suggest that your problem is one for the dealer to investigate.

Has anyone noticed that when you remove the gas cap you can here a fairly loud sucking sound? I wonder if my fuel tank vent is partially clogged. About a month ago we were playing submarine and I sunk the entire rear-end way past the fuel vent system and this was in really sandy water or at least it was sandy by the time I was through.
And NO I had zero problems with water getting anywhere it shouldn't (unless it plugged the fuel vent), as soon as I got the rear end to move a little the big hog pulled itself right out.

Mine starts good in warm weather (30.C). I got mine a week ago and have alreay 10 hrs. on it, runs very well so far! Had some glycol coolant leaks , this was due to loose hose clamps at the thermastat housing. Will change all fluids this weekend. Great quad so far!!
