Kawabunga, What kind of sources do you have? I like the sound of a 500cc.
Jeffman I saw your sister too! How long did it take for DW to get to your letter ? How long ago did you send it in?

 

I think I would bet money on a V-Twin. Kawasaki designed the 650 motor from ground up specifically for use in an ATV. I find it hard to believe that this motor was designed just for one ATV. Some body said that they had "good sources" about an auto sport quad to compete/beat the Polaris Scrambler line and, well that makes sense. I can also believe that a smaller V-Twin will find it's way into a sport quad. Don't get me wrong, I would be happy with a 500 single, but that's not like the Green Machine, they like to make some serious noise when they design something new.

I sent it in around sometime in July 2001 as a reply to a letter somebody wrote in the July issue. I went to the store and they didn't have the Oct. issue yet. How are you guys seeing the Oct issue? Are yall subscribed? I think if your subscribed you get it like 2-3 weeks before they get it in stores. Man I sure am glad they printed it! This guy came up to me at school and said Damn your sisters hot! Then he said that he saw her in DW mag. I was like aww cool. I can't wait to get it to see what it looks like. Thats why I was wanting somebody to scan it and send it to me so I could see it. I might write in again sometime with a pic. of me on my 400ex. That would be cool!

 

Ohh yeah, and I saw your letter Trailblazerkid! I like the little reply that they put down below it.

 

Thanks Jeffman. I didn't think they would put it in because I sent it in all the way back in June. I just think that Polaris should just change the colors once in a while. too bad they don't make a lime green Trailblazer!
Oh and Jeffman I don't have a scanner otherwise I'd send it to ya.

The 250 mojave motor is built in Japan.

 

I'll no all of the details on the 500 mojave engine on Monday. I'll let you know then.

 

A sport version of the 650 prairie is also coming out in the next couple of years.
