Just got my latest DW and they say it will be a early release 2003 model possibly mid 2002. They say twin cams, liquid cooled, 450-650cc size. They will also have new models in the years to follow. I can't wait much longer, I just dumped another $350 on the Mojave in bearings, hubs, and swingarm bearings. It's nickel and diming me to death!
DW also has more in depth rumors on a Polaris and Suzuki new sport quad.
Finally we (sport riders) might have more choices!

When I was looking for a new dirtbike this summer the owner of the Kawasaki dealership in our area told me they are for sure going to come out with one and he would be able to tell me more in the fall after he goes to the convention. Chet

I hope it is the Ninja 500 motor with no detuning, to compete with the Banshees in the dunes. But it will probly end up being the KLR 650 motor or the Prairie 650. I know you MXers might not want this because of weight. Even Yamaha's own Raptor is not a threat to Banshee's. I just got done Racing today at the local drags and the Banshees out number any other quad 10 to 1. I know a 4 strokes require a lot more modds to compete with the Banshee but it is possible. If we are domed to only 4 strokes we need some screamin pure breed thumpers. Sorry, but just my two cents.

Hey Jeffksf3, which month of DW are you talking about? I was just wondering b/c I sent in a pic of my sister on my Yellow 400EX. She's posing on it and it should be in the "letters" section. If you got the latest DW, then will you check and see if its in there? Its a Yellow 01' 400EX with my sis on it. Thanks!

-Jeff

Ps. im going to e-mail this to you, which ever you get faster.

Can you scan me a pic of that page that my sister's on and e-mail it to me? If you don't have a scanner, don't worry about it. Under the pic does it have a little letter that I wrote? If so, does it say at the bottom of it, Jeff Ellis: Shelby, NC? If it says that then i'll know that thats the one. Thanks!

It is going to be a 500cc mojave. It should be out in late 2002. Liquid cooling and twin overhead cams. Sorry, but i'm pretty sure it is a single cylinder. Unlike the 250 mojave, this one will be built in the USA. When it comes out i will be selling my 650 prairie.
