Do not buy the 700 SP wait for the 700 Sportsman H.O to come out in a short while ,it will have a larger carb and a hotter cam than the normal 700 Sportsman.LOL

Another Joke! Why would Polaris come up with a sp700ho, I would be pissed off if I bought a 700 only to have them come out shortly after with a slightly modified version? They're is nothing positive about this 700 anyway, it's laughable that anyone would even entertain this overweight, underpowered bike!

Jefffoxsr,
I'd be delighted to ride with you guys at the Mounds.I only live about 7 miles from there and ride it alot. The mods on the Xplorer really woke it up alot. The Heel clickers clutch kit is nice to,but it still does not take off from a stand still like I'd like it to.I think that is because of the MASSIVE 26 inch GoodYear Mudrunners I have on it front and rear?

Now dont be so quick to call the Xplorer the winner. We will never be able to find that out in the Mounds, the place is just to damn small to open up our quads.

Im rather sick and tired of all the parts that have been wearing out on both my Polaris ATVs and am definately looking in the direction of either the Kawi twin or the 660 Grizz, but man,I'd sure like to spend 15 minutes on yours before deciding? My buddie Jeff just ordered the new Grizz and its suppoose to be in the middle of next month so I'll get a good test ride on his to before deciding which one I like more.Jeff, what was your deciding factor on picking the Kawi twin?

Bill

I sure would like to try that grizz. I was back and forth back and forth for a few months. I decided on the kawi because I suspected it would be more sporty with the swingarm and the fact that the axle is 2" wider in the rear. I prefer to jump and have riding characteristics similar to my 400ex. So based on my riding preferences and style the kawi was it. If I liked mud, water, rocks, and technical stuff I might have chosen the grizz. It seems from the magazine review of the two I was correct for choosing the kawi for myself. The mag said it was indeed sportier. This think handles amazingly once you get used to it. I can get some serious air. I bet when I drive the grizz I will like it a lot, but I know it isn't a match for my style. Based on the type of riding I understand you do, the grizz might suit you better. Is that your thought also? The dealers down here, 45 minutes South of you, have the 2002 grizz in stock last time I looked. Has jeff called down here?

Jeff,
my friend Jeff ordered his new Grizz from Great Lks Motor Sports in Flint. Now I certainly agree with you,the Kawi is better suited for jumps ect than the Grizz and you picked the correct ATV for your riding style.Me on the other hand?I like the slower more technicle stuff. My jumping days are OVER.Me and Bill Lambier[remember the Bad Boys?]both hate jumping, only his jumping showed up on the hoop courts![lol] I enjoy the hills and ALOT of mud to.The Grizz has the better ground clearance of the two.I just dont want to second guess anything on my next purchase.I like the idea of the v-twin in the Kawi to.

Have you heard of the new ATV club in Michigan called MATVA or the Michigan All Terrain Vehicle Association? Its a great club and the President of the Assoc. is on the ORV Board of Directors, which means that the ATVers in Mich FINALLY have a say so on legislative issues concerning ORVs and ATVs in our State. The cost to join is very inexspensive[20$ for single membership or 35$ for the ENTIRE family per yr] and we have a meeting coming up on the 13th of Sept at 6pm in WoodHaven Mi.I can get you in on the meeting if you'd like to go and listen in?

I rode the 700 this morning, and I didn't find it to be much of a joke. Quite a nice ride I thought.
