I would think that most auto machine shops could do this for you. look for a small engine repair shop that does lawnmower engines etc.... The price could vary so just look in the yellow pages for a machine shop and give them a call.

I would like a place that has done this before, not just a lawnmower shop who doesn't know what they are doing, because if they mess up, I'm without a cylinder! So got any other suggestions? Thanks again.

Re-sleeving a cylinder is a basic machinist operation. They will simply bore your "block" and then press the sleeve in. Yes it could be screwed up, but not likely by any one with any experience. I would much rather take it to a small engine/lawnmower engine shop(that has probably done it several times to a single) where they are experienced with single cylinder 4 stroke engines. Now if you are looking at getting your Mojave head polished and ported etc.. that is where you need a specialist.

This is from another E-mail form Mickey dunlap:

It costs $175 to re-sleeve the cylinder now and $50 to bore the cases.

I got a price quote from www.rittercycle.com and they wanted $110 for the Re-sleeving, and $60 for the case boring. But they want me to use a Powroll kit, what do you guys think of that kit?? When I told him I wanted to use the FST kit he replied "I don't want to build a bike that is un-reliable." Is it true the FST kit is Un-reliable?? Thanks guys.

Kawi250....listen. Does rittercycle.com know you have to grind down the water jackets in the cylinder to allow more coolant to contact the cylinder? Do they know you have to machine t grooves in the bottom of the cylinder for o-rings? DO they know you have to 'deck' the new sleeve to match the cylinder after it is pressed out? After finding out what is neccessary to to get the new sleeve to work, $175 isn't bad. To bore mine out, it cost me $185 locally. If I wasn't in such a hurry, I would have sent mine to Mickey to begin with.

AND....the last I heard about Powroll is that they don't make anything for the Mojave anymore. Call them and see for yourself.
