Het Gaff,
Thanks for the advice on the jet kits. Here are the specs for the valve clearances:
Intake: 0.10 - 0.15 mm (cold)
Exhaust:0.15 - .20 mm (cold)
Also, you can get this info yourself at kawasaki online at
http://www.buykawasaki.com/site/home/
Choose "vehicle information" from the link above and fill in the vehicle info.

STEBOB,
I noticed you recommended NOT to buy the DG exhaust. I was thinking of buying the DG RCM Aluminun kit with Headpipe for $156 through Dennis Kirk. I see you have the Supertrapp IDS2 on your bike. I have heard alot about both systems and hear both are good. I find it hard to justify spending another $70-$80 for the SuperTrapp over the DG system. I was just wondering why you do not recommend the DG system. Thanks

DG pipes are not very good quality. They do help but you will not experience the HP/torque gains with it as you would the SuperTrapp. Plus the DG is very loud and doesn't have a "suped up" sound to it in my opinion. The SuperTrapp sounds really cool, plus it's tunable for sound and performance. You will not be disappointed for spending the extra cash, in fact you'll be glad you did.

Stebob,
Thanks for the answer. I am still not sure what to due, I have a feeling most aftermarket exhusts will produce similiar results. There was an article in Dirtwheels, I think (I read it online not long ago) which compared several of the top aftermarket exhaust manufactures systems on a 400ex. The results were very close, with about 2-3 hp gain. Only two of them produced 4-5 more horsepower over stock, but those sytems cost about $300-$400. Has anyone else used a DG exhaust? What do you think? Again, STEBOB, Thanks for the reply, I will definalty think about the Supertrapp.

Hey Guys,
Hope everyone had a good weekend. Does anyone know another online supplier of Supertrapp exhaust system for the Lakota Sport besides Dennis Kirk, Rocky Mountain or Supertrapp themselves? I need to order online and the other locations are out of stock (the Supertrapp site is too expensive). Thanks.

Hay 300cr,
I've been out here at work all week end while you all were out riding.
I read your message and did a few searches, sorry no luck.
I see stebobs on here some were he may have some ideas.
I wouldn't trust me damn I tried to order some parts and a chest protector that my son wants and all i have been getting is shot down with back order, back order, back order.
I gues the real problem is that winter is coming on quick up north and maybe these venders don't want to get stuck with inventory through the winter.
You know they have to pay taxxes on dead stock in the warehouse come jan. 1
Well I'll be at work untill thursday I'm going to look around for you intill then.

Tell ya what to try, it's worked for me before. Order from Rocky Mountain. They tell you it's backordered, you say "ok" then ask who their supplier is and if you can have their phone #. If they say no, ask for someone that would, like the purchaser. Call the supplier directly and you may be able to set it up where the supplier ships it directly to you. Rocky gets their money, all is ok. Try it. Never hurts to try and it'll only take ya about 10min max. Let us know.
