Blaster, 300 EX, etc.

I'm 17...never owned a 4-wheeler in my life. A couple of my friends do, and I finally talked my parents into getting me one. I want something that's quick and good for jumping and stuff like that. I am considering the 2002 blaster or possibly the 300 EX (more pricey). I realize a lot of you are much younger with TONS more experience than me...so what are your thoughts on a blaster? A local shop has them for $2495.00 for the machine, helmet, gloves, tiedowns, and a gas can (whoa) lol. Any comments would be extremely helpful. Thanx

At your size you should go with the 300ex, also if you don't want to be spending a lot of money, go with the 300ex, because, it does cost more, but you are getting more...Triple hydraulic disc brakes, reverse, also it's a four stroke motor, which will last a LOT longer than the Blaster motor. I own a Mojave and am very happy with that, you might want to look into one. Also, have you thought of getting a used atv in good condition? They can be hundreds (maybe thousand) less and be in just as good condition. Just my advice.

All atv's are fun,but paying for them are not so fun.
The blaster is fun, agood starting out bike wiyh endless up grades.
For your money, go and look at the mojave and the lakota, thier on sale about everywere for $3699.00.
You will have that much in the blaster within six months.
Take it easy on your dad, find a four stroke (new or used) and enjoy riding not waiting on parts.
Also your a pretty big boy a small two strokes power will fade after about thirty minutes.
