The only way you can do it is to buy a set of 4/110 Durablue hubs. Then you can run any size rim you want from 8 to 10 inches and are much lighter than stock. The stock mojave bolt pattern is too large for a 9" rim.

Honda 200 sx hubs will fit the mojave and give it a 4 on 110 pattern

I'm pretty sure you can get away using 9" wheels. To make sure, just pull the rim off and measure 9" next to your hubs and see if it looks like it will clear.

Did you measure your hubs and find out they won't fit 9" rims? I am 99% sure that they will fit. Otherwise call durablue and tell them what you want to do and they will be able to set you up. James Lucky also carries the hubs. It will probably be around $200 for the hubs.

I think 9" rims will fit because I have put 11" rims on mine I don't know if that means anything but I'm sure it will work.

Also does anyone know if rims off the Mojave will work on a Lakota they look the same and almost everything else on both quads bolt up excatly the same.

Thanks for your time
