Lakota 13T sprocket

Gaff,
I have found that piece that covers the tube also. I completely removed it. There is a slight diff. that can be felt. Prob. not as much as your holes though. I have not had any prob. with that rubber boot removed, as far as water entering it.

Stebob-got your e-mail ,will send you one back later this week.
13tooth sprocket- I am surprised at the loss of low to middle power. Like you said maybe with the rest of your mods...
I am going off memory here. The cam in the lakota is aliittle bit hotter than the regular bayou 3oo. The cams offered by web were for low and one for midrange, but those would not work for some reason. The cam i had "ground"? was more top end, be careful if you go that route.
I once put a 11 tooth on my lakota, bad choice went thru the gears way to fast.
If the 13 seems a bit high maybe go to a 12 and change the rear sprocket 1 or 2 teeth. On my raptor i run a 12 on the front instead of the factory 13. Now that i have modded it i am headed back to the 13. It turns out you just have to suite your riding style.
Keep up the research, i like this better than my raptor this and that over at the yama forum. Maybe i am still a kawi man at heart. If kawi comes out with a new sport i will by it for my 9 year old.

The stalk cams are said to be advanced, but I believe the demensions are the same.
I believee I may be mis leading you all by trying to be honest as possible. The bike still holds all its tork and has quite a bit of power as a matter of fact I can describe it as moving the power to more useable sittuations.
With the stalk sprocket it realy has no useable first and second on the track and I top out in fith looking for another gear. Although in trail riding you use second and third quite a bit and they work well.
I feel the throtle response of the lakota is terrible and if I can fix that with the pipe and jet kit the bike will be much better with or without the sprocket.
As for the air box, maybe if I took the plastic off before hand I may not have drilled the air box cover.
All in all while testing the lakota in small and large trails then out to the hill climbs and then to the mx track, it all took me four 12 to 14 hour days and my official report would be, the lakota showed me one hell of a good time again.
Next week when I get home I'm installing the pipe with the jet kit and heading out to a national forrest then to the dunes and by this time I should have another report and of course another good time.
