It appears know that my rf outer Cv joint came apart. I had just gotten unstuck and was riding slowly when i realized I couldn't turn right. Upon closer inspection I observed the RF axle out of place and jammed against the housing. I was able to pull it completely away from the frt housing and tie it to the frt suspension. I rode home in 2wd. I brought it the dealer today. I put 27' 589 tires on and was wondering if they played a part in all of this. I ride my quad hard but I was not expecting this kind of problem with it.

Try to be careful when stuck/spinning with the wheels turned. Turning the wheel extends the joint and increases stress.

I wonder if the Prairie will take a lift, or if the joints are short.

my guess is that you just had a deffective joint, because no one i know with a kvf650 has a problem with their cv's, including me. and i do some HARD riding on mine.

Default Broken right front outer CV joint on 650

I just broke my left CV joint. Was stuck in some snow, but was digging deep enough that I was roosting dirt. Was cranking my wheels back and forth trying to get traction and heard a nice little "pop" from the left front. Checked it out to see my left front axle hanging out the side of my a-arm. I can imagine what this is gonna cost
