how to cut fenders on Mojave help

How to cut front fenders. So it looks good.

You can use a handheld scroll saw (is that the right name?). I have one at home and if you switch out the blade to the one you need it makes it easy to make neat, accurate cuts. Just follow a contour on the existing fender as a guide. Also, chek out some magazine pictures to get an idea of what kind of look you want.

I used a sabre saw for the initial cut and then went to a hand file to knock it down where I wanted it. After that I made it look nice using an orbital sander and a fine grit sand paper. You can see some pics of my Mojave in the signature below.

A dremel tool with a metal cutting disc was used on mine-no sanding needed, but I did use a razor blade to clean up some edges. It made a very clean, easy cut.

Wow, a Dremel? Didnt that take forever? Those are some big fenders, I give you props because that sounds like a job!

A friend of mine actually did the cutting-he had done it before and did a really good job. It cut thru it like it was warm butter. It really went pretty fast-shot green "sawdust" everywhere.
