yesturday after work I had a chance to race my 02 raptor aginst some 01 raptors 2 of them showed up at my track ..cool ..lmao ..this is how it laid out
#1 raptor 01 blue stock no modds
#2 raptor 01 blue t4 pipe proflow air dynojet 12 tooth
#3 raptor 02 black (stock)
conditions ..60 sunny straight line racing even start on gravel

first race .
1st gear the 02 took the hole shot 2nd gear was tie between #2and #3 with #1 1 quad lengh behind 3rd gear #2 raptor pulling Away #1 raptor lost another 1/2 quad lengh 4th gear # 2 raptor has 4 quads on # 3 # 1 stays back 1 1/2 quads 5th gear #3and #1 were catching #2 slightly

we raced maybe 5 or six more times and the results stayed about the same ,the 01 raptor and me (02 raptor ) raced a first gear roll on race ,and the out come was the same ,it seems to me that the only differance is the gearing , the 02 pulls a quad length in the 1-3 gears and they stay the same after that . I was not game on switching quads and racing .(learned that leason) on top end we were almost identical with him edgeing me out ...Im positive that was our weight differance showing .

my final thoughts

wow modds make a big differance on the raptor !!
2nd the 02 raptor is slightly faster in the first three gears
3rd the differant rear tires are much better on the 02
4th I think my 02 is slightly lean on the bottom end

they didnt wanna try my 70 footer hmmmmm (wimps) j/k

p.s last but not least ..the front shocks are junk
