300cr, man I'm sorry I didn't rite, I meant to. I did it yesterday, then had to pack and head off-shore today.

Well it was very easy.
You have to remove the gas tank, remove the intake and exhaust valve covers (no gaskets, just o-rings)
Thier just plain simple threaded adjusters.
Just pull on the pull cord untill the intake valve is all the way down, and check the exhaust.
then pull the cord untill the exhaust is all the way down and check the intake.

Mine was just a tiny amont out, but I still re-adjusted.

I was thinking of you when I did it, remember when you posted that you could hier your valves when you started and road it. Thats what my sons XR-80 did when it was running real rich and it was just a fouled plug.
I don't see your valves being that out of wack (although check them any ways) I had cleaned my sons plug but the noise didn't go completely away untill I replaced the plug.

Man, if you only knew how good my quad runs you would be pist.
I can't wait to read your post after the mods. arrive.

Oh ya I never did say but I used the copper gasket from the stalk pipe for my super trapp.

Pittsburge huh,
Grew up by wheeling!

The 13T sprocket doesn't require re-jetting.
Iwas always able to keep my jetting the same year round thier, but I didn't do any winter riding.
You will know though, on those cool mornings the quad will seem a little more snappier.
Down here jetting is seasonal sense last time I was home it was in the high eighties at about ninety percent humidity. Yesterday it was seventy five with thirty percent humidity, in the summer, the hell with it we all run rich!

Try rapping on the throttle while idling in nuetral, if it bogs alittle, raise the c-clip one notch on the needle and do it again, it probably will be snappier!

The lakotas rev is limited to it's air box restrictiveness, I drilled holes in the air box, but now believe removing the snorkle cap in front of the handle bars is a better idea.
Adding disk to the super trapp may not do anything with the stalk air filter will probably be the restrictive factor here.

By the way, your going to love that 13T sprocket.

Killer,

Why come on here and bash the Lakota? I've never ridden one but from what I've heard they are great machines. I've ridded powerl atv's such as raptors, banshee's and 250r's, but I still enjoy riding my Mojave. And those mods probally made a big difference over stock anyway.

killer 250r,
I'll play!
I'm originally from mystic, conn, I only mention this because my brother and I will be sporting a couple of bikes with us on are anual visit to new england.
One 250r Dynos72hp and one gsxr-1500 dynos mid 270s.
What one do you wish to be wiped off the face of this earth with,

And yes, maybe the cangus comangus highway would make a good resting place for YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You talk about the lakota like it's the greatest machine ever.

gsxr-1500 yes and a top fuel dragster can beat that thing whats your point ? I dont compare bikes to ATVs thats just dumb. But if you want yu can take the gsxr-1500 and we'll see if my 250R can jump higher and you and your brother can be laying in a heap on the landing of the jump.

Ya, you looked pretty easy to get going.

Your point is my point, why compare apples to oranges!

Some times in life you will find a diamond in the ruff on bikes.
Thiers been many bikes in production that were, say midle to bottom of a class and later found out that with a little know how were the best thing sense sliced bread.
A graet example would be the honda hawk 650, this was such a flop they didn't make many and a couple of years later every one wanted them to race.

I'm not saying the lakota is one of these bikes, but I am saying the hawk isn't the last diamond in the ruff.

So why don't you try to open up a little and take a look around.
