I go to ohio and meet my brother and then we head to conneticut via I-95 or sometimes go a little north through the tri- burough bridge in new york.
It looks like first couple of weeks in june, but not for sure yet.
I take three weeks off and pretty much go on a three week drunk with my brother and we ride and race in between!!

I checked out the site, looks real cool!
I still have seven months with absolutely no plans yet!
I was waiting for a 2002 schedule to come out for all the different events up north. When ever that happens we're going to start planning.
I love the hill climbs. I've never did any serious hill climbing on a quad, not realy sure how to do it.
When I lived up north, I loved it, I can't remember any hill I didn't atleast try, but all that was on a bike.
This year my son is coming with us and I would love to bring him to places like attica.
I say a bunch of us from here try to get to gether this year.
Going up north is only the way to go though.
You all would love the stuff down here, but be worned the tallest peak in these parts is a ant hill! Plus I don't think any of you would be able to stand the heat and humidity here.
I think you just put a good Idea in my head on what to do for my anual three week off festivities!

Hillclimbs huh? well, about 3 weeks after I got the Lakota I tried to tackle a hill at the Badlands that I really had no business trying to do. Anyway, towards the top of the hill(about 35-40 yards up) it went verticle for about the last 1 1/2. I hit the verticle part and my front wheels immed. came up and the quad landed right on my chest and we slid down the hill for about 10 feet then the quad end over end 4-5 times till it hit the bottom and landed on the handle bars. Luckily 2 guys were watching at the bottom and came over flipped me back over. They tood me back to their truck and fixed my quad. Nothing real major, ripped the rear caliper off and bent the bars few other things. I had a buddy with me, but he was already at the top of the hill I tried to go up. He couldn't come back down for being too steep. Needless to say it scared the crap out of me, hurt real fricking bad, and now I will go around any questinable hill. That's just me though. Hopefully someday I will get around my fear of hills because it does effect my riding. But hey, I guess I'm much safer and smarter now. I find another way around and always can get to the same spot a different way.

Yah, I often wonder what it's going to be like. I haven't any hills to climb down here and although I'm getting a little older, I still am a damn fool.
Well hill climbs don't intreague me like they use to.
My son will probably loose it when he see's the stupid things poeple do just to get to the top.
I can hier him now "why do those poeple drive up that hill when thiers a trail rite thier"
I'm realy looking forward to this trip because he's coming this time.
I just don't know how it's going to be for me, this being my first quad and all.
I think it's going to be cool though.
Like I said I have seven months to go and realy looking forward to going home with the bikes!

Hey Everyone,
I had a good weekend. On Saturday I checked the valves in the Lakota and found the stock settings way off, especially the exhaust valve. The intake was a 0.08mm (should be 0.10-.15mm)and the exhaust was at 0.09mm (should be .15-.20mm). I adjusted to the correct specs, and cleaned the carb. I also found that some water had collected in the spark plug boot after washing and was giving me some stumble problems at higher rpm. The stock boot is composed of a few sections, which allows water to leak in. I toke the boot apart and used black silicon on all the connecting parts. This seemed to work great, no more water in the boot.
I toke the Lakota to the mountains Sunday and it ran great, no more stumble and the plug looks better.
I am expecting to upgrade to the Supertrapp, filter, power kit and the 13t sproket this weekend, time allowing. I will post the results.

Hey,
I just noticed that under the Lakaota Sport mods articles, they updated part 4 stating that part 5 is coming soon - new rear tires and weight reduction. I would love to see some weight reduction options on the Lakota.
