650 WINCH
#13
Hi Guys
There is 2 wires going to the motor on the winch .I think blue and yellow .3 wires to the handheld control in which the red wire goes to the ignition switch .Two wires to battery terminal.
If any is having the same problem like I did with the handheld remote switch because there is no room to mount it on handle bars .I made a setup for about $12.00 which I mounted a montary switch in the plastic (left side) so you can contol the winch from the bars .Its very easy to wire up I can tell you how>>>>I then also hookup the remote switch outlet across from the 12volt plug. This way you can still use the remote switch If needed. So the remote plug is mounted on right side facing forward. It took me about 3hrs to hook everything up but secured all wires and waterproofed all connections.
Tried my 26 inch mudrunner yesterday. WOW what i diffent feeling over the stock tires .Trails is which I only did 10 mph with stocks I can handle at 20 to 25 mph.The 650 front end doesnt feel as soft now with the 4 ply tires .It rides alittle rought under 8 mph. But otherwise smooth. These tires really grip on sharp turns not like the stock tires .The steering is easier too. SO If anyone decides to spend the $375.00 for the 26 inch mudrunner you will not be disappointed.
If anyone needs picture of this setup e mail me at tampavii@aol.com Having problem with my laptop so cant post pictures here
