I don't get it why would they spend time on making a 360cc machine when they already have a good 400cc and 300cc utility quad. I don't know much about 4x4 or utility quads but it looks like it would just confuse a customer as to what machine they should buy, too many choices. Lets see make another utility quad right in between two that we already have or make a new sport quad to replace the 15yr old Mojave, the only thing we have that is close to sport quad! I don't get it! Maybe I'm just a bitter loyal Kawi fan that is patial to sport quads, or maybe I know what will sell. Either way that DRZ400 Suzuki is looking real good! Is anyone LISTENING over there in Kawi land?

I picked up a ATV Action magazine on the way to work, and your not going to believe it, it has a prairie Z-400 with front racks.
I put z-400 on my signiture just to **** the honda guys off, but for some reason I think kawi is gonna let us down.

How do you like that FST ported head, and how much did it run ya!

Gaff, I don't quite follow what you're saying. The ported head is nice I think it was $200.

In decembers issue of ATV Action mag, thiers a little story in the front that talks about kawi and sazuki's combining groups and on top they have a picture of a yellow and purple kawi prarie.
It has the Z-400 rear fender a Z-400 on the side, kawi on the gas tank and front racks.
It's a z-400 motor in it.

Yes I am that absent minded.

You must admit, it would be the better of that verses a 650 auto prairie motor

If Kawi ever does come out with a sport quad, it had better be the ****. I think they have had enough time (15 years) to develop a big bore sport machine, and it is time to either **** or get off the pot. Kawi is working on losing a lot of loyal customers and doesn't seem to really care. It is kinda funny that the two companies that haven't made a new (or ANY in suzukis case since what 92?)sport quad in years team up together to build atvs. WOW, with all that experience they should really be able to come up with something great-not! The DRZ looks good on paper, but it was obviously built to compete w/400ex's, which if Honda is smart will bump displacement and power on the 400 just enough to whoop the DRZ. As much as I hate to listen to Honda guys brag, at least Honda doesn't sit around and take their beatings, they stand up and build something new when it's necessary to stay on top of their game. I'm getting really tired of rooting for the underdog, when they don't seem to want to help themselves. Makes you want to cross over to the dark side, huh?

I agree mordr.

A 650 auto that has been talked about, I don't see it being a answer to fifteen years in the shadows.
I like my kawi, and sense rider ability is every thing we still stand a chance.
But I would like to run some races this year, I'll do it on the lakota, but come next season it would be worse if I had to go red to keep up!!!!!!

I said it on the other post that the "two new exciting quads" would be the 360 Prairie and the 250 Bayou, heck it wasn't no secret, but yet leave it up to dirt wheels to get people excited AGAIN about a new high perf. quad. I take it that those are the two in the January issue? I think they're gonna axe the 300 Prairie and probably update the 400 to make it a 450-500cc machine and give it the new features of the new Prairies. Atleast that is the only thing that makes any sense. If they sell a 300,360, and 400 Prairie in 2003, then I will lose all hope for a new sport quad because they would be complete jackasses who obviously didn't have a clue.
