Has anybody changed the stock shocks on their Lakota? I am looking to upgrade mine if it will make a difference in the handling over the stock ones. What brand is good, and are they worth the money.

gaff,

I ordered the shocks from Dennis Kirk for $298 shipped to my door. I know they are not valved exactly for my weight, but for the price and not having to wait for 3-4 weeks, it was worth it. I have ordered Works from DK before for a 300ex and they were perfect. Now I just have to get the cylinder back on my Lakota so I can test out the shocks.

NTHEWIND,

I was wondering if that was you? Nice to hear from you

Man, I'm chasing you!

This sounds graet, my mother informed me that my brother has thousands invested in shocks that are in her basement, I'm trying to get a hold of him.
Do you think any would fit, he has a 250R drag bike

I tried a set of PEP 250r shocks, but the upper bushings were too narrow and the lowers were too wide. They were about 1/2" too long, but you could probably adjust the preload to get them to fit. It might be worth a try...

$298 for front shocks only shipped to the door. That's the best price you will find. Still waiting on my cam chain from Kawasaki to get my engine back together. I'll let you know how they are when I can.
