A year ago I bought a Dg pipe and installed it on the Lakota. The pipe was too loud. So we decided to buy a Supertrapp. Started to install it today but when I took off the header pipe from the Dg I noticed the Exhaust flange will not work on the Supertrapp head pipe. Do I need the original flange from the stock pipe? I looked for the original but can't find it. Can anyone tell me of a web site that has the schematic for a Lakota? I hope someone knows what I am talking about? If I haven't made this clear let me know?

Hay hows it going.
The super trapp requires the use of the stock flange with the stock plit ring retainer.
Atleast this is what I think thier called.
www.kawasaki.com then on the left tool bar click on buy kawasaki, then click on parts diagram and take it from thier!!

Gaff,
Thanks for the info. Later that day I did find the stock parts and they work perfectly. Here is another question: This the first time I've experienced discs in a pipe, I am just wondering if I have them in right because the instructions don't show you. I put them in with the smooth part facing front and the end cap (bubble) facing back. Is this right?

The solid bubble disc is the last disc. the disc have a flare I guess you would call it wich faces the outlet of the exhaust.
Supertrapp says a stock bike with just thier exhaust takes four disk, the pipe with the jet kit and filter take eight disc, engine mods take all twelve.
I just have the jet kit and filter with the pipe, I also did some air box mods, I have twelve disc and love the way it feels. I believe with a little more time I will try ten disc and then even eight, I'll have to get back to you when I do that though!!!!

Bigbad, If you want noise, add disks to your Supertrapp. Also, why would you want it louder? A lot of areas are governing the decibels and will not allow you to ride if exceeded. You may not have this in your area now, but....

Granted I have never owned and DG pipe, but I've read that you will NOT get the performance out of it compared to the Supertrapp. Sorry Quadzmoto not trying to infringe on your sale, but wouldn't you agree(if you have the Super. on and running of course) that the DG does not give the power increase as the Supertrapp. Please post once you have your pipe on let us know what you think.

Stebob,
Your probably right, haven't had a chance to really get on it. The only difference I notice right now is that the DG pipe is alot louder.
