I am a new member just sighned up first off you guys have a great form and very imforative, for your oil leak it could be a # of thing's if it looks like it is coming from ex.pipe ckeck your seal, and carb.jetting to make sure it is not to rich, and the back of your silencer will look wet and drippy if so repack silencer, your breather hose should be on top of your motor check to see how it is ran and see if it is leaking out of there if it is, check motor oil level if over filled drain to proper level, if still leaking from hose then i would think the crank seals are bad,if it looks like it is coming from left and right inner cases there is no gasket between those two cases they use silocone, if that is where it is leaking from it is probley the cases are warped, just keep a eye on oil level, and if you are new to 2strokes you have to run them hard , A good place to find 2stroke info is www.ericgorr.com he is 1 of the best 2stroke guy's in the country i hope this can help

ok i might need to be more specific..the gumy oil (oil with some dirt in it) is on top of the water pump cover..the right front side of the motor. the oil lever was kinda low. so i do need to fill it..and this is a stupid question but does it have a oil filter? thanks for the help.

If it's on top of the waterpump cover, then it most likely is the power valve leaking. And no, the Tecate-4 does not have a filter. Just keep the tranny oil changed on a regular basis (like every other race, or 3-4 long recreational rides).
