Well guys I screwwed up again. I have needed wheels and tires so badly, and I still didn't get them.
BuTTTTTTTT, I e-mailed micky today and it just so happens he will be machining pistons next week, so I'm getting the 322 kit.
This is going to be awsome, called web cam set up a date with them to get cam work done, set up a date for some port and polishing, looks like maybe a month at the most the boys lakota will be screaming.
I still have full intentions of keeping the quad together until all parts are in, but now I'm siked, got it going on.
Wow, wonder what the horse power will be, who cares, it should fly.
I have to look into a clutch as well, I already looked into barnett, and they look good, any suggestions on any of the other brands.
Lighter piston, lighter clutch, 322 kit, cam, port and polishing, to cool

300cr, I see you've come back, were have you been.

I think you'd like the barnett clutch. I replaced my clutch with a barnett a couple of weeks ago because my factory clutch had an annoying squel if you had to force it on takeoff. I find when I speed shift into 2nd and 3rd the front end pops up real easy cause theres no more slippage. It didn't slip much but it had a split second slip and it doesn't any more. The springs are supposed to be 15% heavier but I don't feel it in the lever like I thought I would.

There is a lakota in the classifieds section that has a 10:5:1 pistion and the work was done by mickey he said. It says 330 lakota i e-mailed him and ask him what he thought of it.Hey gaff- just curious how much this going to cost cause i would love to have that in mine. I have to say i probabley have the worst looking lakota on the site. My plastic is cracked all up it has holes in it. Bald front tires bent rims. I think my rear axle is bent not that bad though My frames bent in the front and i have no clue what to do about it. I ride my lakota hard every day and no major problems yet and it's little over a year old.I just wish there was a manual clutch kit for it.

Future mods
New plastic
Dura blue axle
Douglas wheels with razor tire F/R
Renthal bars
K&n filter jet kit
Full skids
Rear armadillio skid (for mojave)
DG front bumper
DG grab bar
Works shocks
fst 322 kit
13t front sprocket

That's about 2000 worth of mods i probabley won't get them all because i will probley sell it and get me a yellow 400ex i'm not really sure right now.

I had to change the axle on my mojave. I bent it pretty good and we had to use some heat to staighten it and it made it very weak so I replaced it with a heavy duty durablue. They are 2.5 times stronger than stock axles and thats all I need. The only reason I bent my stock one was because I took a jump and got some serious air and landed straight up(right on the back tires) I had been jumping it all summer much higher but landing correctly and didn't have any problems but all it takes is once I guess. I just put some works shocks in the front too. I had ordered some baja magnums by progressive but I took them off and sent them back. If I would jump on the front end I could bottom them out. Way to soft unless you just ride in your driveway.

Bigbad400,
The 322 kit is $275
the cams, not sure yet they claim they haven't done any yet, but no more than $150
Barnett clutch will be $100
Port and polishing we'll do our selves
Heavier valve springs, I think $55

But as far as your quad, I must atmit you keep in good humor all the time.
How did you let it get so far away from you!!!!
Well I'll keep my eye out for parts for you!!!

if you are getting a 330 and getting a cam that a opens the valves further and head work and all that that makes the fuel flow better you will want a bigger carb to use to better flow

I have thought about the carb and going up to a 34mm, But I want to see how the bottom end feels first, a bigger carb will take from the bottom, most times.
After I get it all installed, I will then decide on the bigger carb.
I have talked with mickey in the past and he had suggested to keep the 32mm carb.
But we will see how hard hitting the cam will be!!!

Oooohhhh.. Sounds good Gaff! Can't wait to hear about how it runs. You say you looked into a Barnett clutch. Are you going to a manual or is heavier springs and such. I'm interested in that myself.

Oh Yeah, I was wondering if you had been able to check your fuel levle. Dynojet adv me to lower them some more and would still be fine. I'll do that tomorrow and see what happens. I'm just afraid of setting it with to low of fuel level. I'll try it and see! If you can though please tell me where your fuel sits in relation to the mating surface. Do you leave your fuel on when you put it up? I ask this to see if you may have a drip too and haven't noticed.

I'm going with heavier springs, kevlar friction disc and a lighter alloy steel plates.
When I tear it I will then look at how a manual clutch kit will work.
If I can figure it out I will fab one to test and then look at making more!!!

I checked the fuel level when I got home but a tusle with a case of beer thursday and a twelve pack and a pot of spaggetti friday had prevented me to get back to you.

It is very surprising, it is a strong quarter inch but not quite three eigths below the seem. It was to hard to get the ruler in thier.
I'm heading to the track now and if you want I will pull the carb and measure float hieth for you tonight
