Just wanted to thank everyone for their input on this quad. With all the input on this forum, I was able to pick out the best ATV for me, and also work out the best deal. Thanks for the info on the machine as well as for the info that some of you provided about what the best prices were. Got mine for an out the door price of $6,400.00, $5,646.00 for the quad, with fees and taxes adding up to $6,400.00 out the door.

Thanks again

Area51,congrats!! on your new quad. I love my 650--->134 miles and 35 hrs,so you can see that I've been doing a lot of slow trail riding and still no problems, just fun!!

Thanks TrailHog, I'm pretty excited! I have never owned a Kawasaki before, so I hope that they are reliable machines in the long run. Especially since I will be paying on it for a very, very long time
I did purchase a 42-month warranty though, just to play it safe.
Thanks again.

Hey TrailHog, about how many miles can I expect on a tank of gas. I know it will depend on how hard I ride, but just looking for some sort of average to keep me from getting stranded on the first tank or two.
Thanks

Area51, I live in a very mountainous region and therefore I never get over 10 mph unless I get on the hiway,so I measure gas by hours instead of miles. I get about 8 to 10 hrs on a tank of gas,but I've read other post on here that others get anywhere from 60 to 80 miles on a tank of gas. If you have to give it some throttle when you crank it,that is normal, everyone else here says they have to do the same.

Thanks for the info TrailHog. One more question if you don't mind. I didn't purchase the service plan. Was that a mistake? They wanted $1,500.00 for it to cover the next 6 or so scheduled services over the next couple of years. It seamed like a lot of money and you always hear about things like that being rip offs, I hope that I didn't make a mistake. I did get the extended warranty though.

I would watch out for that service plan, I've never heard of such, A average service for the 650 is about $125 any way.

Area 51 Congrats on the new machine!! You'll love it.

On the service thing>>Be careful about that. I have had ext. warranties in the past that dealers won't accept because I didn't have the scheduled service done. I suppose it all depends on the dealer. Just thought I'd let you know.
Besides a linkage adjustment, I have had no problems yet. 96 miles and 13 hours.

Thanks for the info guy's. I didn't get the service plan, and it sounds like that was a good move. I hope I don't get screwed around with my warranty though, if I do my own services. I will double check, and if I have to, I will pay for only the ones that the manual says has to be done buy the dealer.
