Hi All,
Boy do I feel like a Bozo. I had all new plastic for my Tecate-4 as of 3 years ago and had my quad looking good, until Thanksgiving weekend. I broke my pristine white rear fender. At the time I wasn't to concerned because I thought I could just go to my dealer and get a new one...Wrong. As many of you T-4 owners already know our plastic has been discontinued. I have looked and called as many places as I can think of but can not locate a replacement fender. Then it ocuured to me last night Maybe I should use another brand of fender and adapt it to my quad. This is where all of you can help me. 1. has anyone done or seen this done before? 2. What brand of fender do we think would look the coolest? After waiting for way to long for Kawasaki to build another race quad I am not particularly loyal to Kawasaki anymore, so any brand is fair game for a replacement. Let me know what you all think.
Thanks

This weekend I looked at a couple of fenders to try as a replacement. I ended up liking the Warrior fender. You will need to cut the battery box area out of the fender and some of the lip for the seat pan to sit flush but once the cutting is done it looks trick. I also like the warrior because it is easy to get as a factory or afermarket piece. I ended up also putting my green rear fender on with the white front pastic and decided I like the look of that better than the all white look I had before. I will be seling my quad with this new and improved look.

Default Tecate-4 Fenders

Ben,

Sorry to resurrect such an old post. I was wondering if you had any pics of the warrior fender on the Tecate? I'd be interested to see how that looked.

Brianc -- that's one trick Tecate you have. Very nice!

Default Tecate-4 Fenders

Raptorron-

I spoke with Maier and here's what they said:
Brian,

We do not do special orders for certain colors anymore. Someone special
ordered 5 white rear fenders not long ago from us (when we did special
orders) and I'm wondering if the guy on e-bay is the one that bought those
fenders. You might contact him and see if he got them from us and ordered 5
of them. If he did, then he is probably trying to sell the other 4. If
they are the fenders from us then the fenders should be ok.
So it looks like I missed out on that special order white fender. Mine isn't
cracked too bad and I think that I can repair it with a little creative aluminum
use. It would be nice to have a spare in storage though.
