Which exhaust will get more power the quiet system or the racing system ( ids2 ) and about how much more power in hp, speed, and all out acceleration. O ya and what kind of tires do you recomend for the 2001 lakot sport because the ones on it are crap. Dirt Devil or holeshot or shreaders.

I don't believe you will gain anything with a stock or fairly stock Lakota motor between the race and quiet series. I run the quiet and love it. As far as tires go, I have now chose the Rarz's. Although I do not have them yet, these will be the ones I replace the stock ones with.

I all ways hear about these mods to the lakota but never really hear the gain. I see you have did this stuff to yours and i would like to hear from you about how much you gained from it all. like 3-5 hp, 6-8 mph, and i would also like to know how much hp it has stock.

Thanks for the input!

I believe stock hp is around 13.8. The hp I have now, I do not know. However the machine is totally different. With the pipe, jet kit, filter, and 13 tooth sprocket really really wake the machine up. If you are disappn't now, you won't be. A stock Lakota wouldn't stand a chance. Granted it is still no where near a Raptor or 400EX in a drag, but the gains are significant, and keeping up with them in the woods and tight trails is very possible. I think the next best thing I can do is change the tires with a 1" offset with new rims. I believe this will "wake up" the handling characteristics of the machine as well, not that they are bad now.

stebob,

I did some riding this past week on mine, and swopping the front tires did major handling improvements, you can carry alot more speed through the corners and jumping is much easier as well. So I believe the +1 offsets are the ticket.
I still want +1 on the rears, but would like to keep what I have on the front now. But let me see how well the flipped rims work out, realy haven't been riding as much as I usualy do.

Try a DuraBlue axle, the handling is great!! It's 6 inches over stock, and I have 11 inch wide razrs. It is SUCH an improvment over stock. I do have +1 offset douglas rims in the front, but I'm still waiting on the wheel spacers. When I get them I will try some fast turns and see how it handles.
