I know this sounds like the kid who got new shoes and he can go faster and stop quicker, but I changed the fluids in the 650 yesterday, after I finished I took her for a spin, and there seems to be a noticable increase in power. Before it would not wheelie, but I attributed that to my size. Now she will wheelie and seems to have more pep. I have reviewed the past couple days in my mind and the only thing I can come up with that has happened, and I do not think this would have any bearing on the situation, is the last time I had her out was to take a few bags of feed to the cattle, backing up a slight incline with a heavy load in 6 inches of cow poop, the belt squealed some, but I unloaded her and heard nothing else. What do you guys think? Is it all in my head or is there something different. I have 148 miles and maybe 30 hours on her.

That's interesting. If you figure out what changed and caused more power, let us know. It seems like half the 650's can wheelie and do near 70mph while the other half (like mine) does 60mph and can't wheelie.

Hello,
I live in Lexington and am looking for somewhere near here to ride. I would appreciate any info you guys can offer.

BTW my 650 only goes about 57, but can wheelie with my 300 pound full figure!

Was there a big temperature difference between those days?? It seems mine has more power when it is colder out (denser air, leaner mixture??)

I live in the Greenup Co. area, I lived in the Lexington, Versailles area for @ 8 years. I ride on private land here, but when I lved down there, there was a place at Livingston, and I think there were some places around Berea and Somerset. I didnt ride there but some buddies of mine rode dirt bikes there. I never did figure anything out on the power thing, but it will wheelie now.
