What are the top speeds of both? Jumping abilities? Overall the best? Best suspension? Best in sand?

This is a age old debate. You mean people really jump these beast.Never been on a Grizz, but I'll bet they're so close that a person would be happy with either of them.

Yeah, they're pretty damn close, according to stats, mags, etc. All boils dowm to prices, what brand you like, dealer proximity ,etc.
I've never test rode a Grizz, mainly because the salesman at the Yamaha dealership didn't want to bother with me or something. So I went doewn the road to the Kawi dealer.
How does the Rubicon compare, anyway, RubiconMan?

i can only tell you bout the grizzly. the suspencion on it is fully adjustable, and it is a big differance from stiff to soft. i know the front suspencion on the prarie is not adjustable, and slightly soft in the corners. there both great quads, and both have alot to offer in riding. i have jumped mine, and got it 6 ft in the air at a distance of 25 ft while going 40 mph. i have a few pics of the longest jumps in my pics. i have also jumped aganst a prarie, and the prarie was bottoming out at 25, and real hard. the owner would not even try the jump again, couse he thought he was destroying his quad. but i really dont think these were made for flat out jumping, i just found it to be quite a bonus on mine, lol. if you are in mountain areas, where it is dry and flatter trail systems, get the prarie. if you are in an area with alot of mud, rougher trails, and rock climbing, then get the grizzly. in sand, i would put my money on the prarie. the top speed is won by the grizzly, but looses at the takeoff, only to ketch up around 50 mph. as for witch is overall the best, ask the prarie owners and they will tell you, then ask the grizzly owners and they will tell ya too, lol. good luck and have fun test riding them both!!!

Never rode a 650 but I'd like to. One dealer sells both and I might could ride it there. The other Kawi dealer sucks. They also are out the roof on the price. Same with Yamaha. Basically, all the dealers suck here except the Arctic Cat dealers. I got a good deal on my Grizz, but drove 280 miles one way to get it. Granted this was in July, but the cheapest Griz in 100 miles was still MSRP and they wanted like $7300 for the Prairies. I paid $6469 with the winch myself. You can find better deals today, but this was right after the Grizzly came out and the Prairie pricing hadn't settled either.

What will happen to the price of the Rubicon when the rincon comes out? Same for the 450's. I sure wouldn't pay 6K for a Rubi when I could get a Griz or Prairie for the same G's.

kingmort how my Rubicon compared to the 650, it is a huge difference. If I hit the throttle on the 650 the front end will come up to high. On my rubi maybe 2cm. And both of those are without pulling up. 650 will smoke me off the line and in the end. Power is the biggest differnce I can be in 2 on the 650 and go up someting at half throttle and on my rubi I have to hit it in 4wd at full throttle and maybe do that a couple times.
Thats what i see the main diff. are

When my 650 was new it would wheelie easy, now the rear tires are worn pretty bad with 170 miles,it won't wheelie now, just spins like crazy.I have never owned anything that would spin the tires so easy,in 2-wheel or 4-wheel drive.
