Personally I would go with the Ozark. It is a new design as compared to the Bayou's dated design. The Ozark looks better, will probably do everything better and is priced competitive. The only argument with the Bayou is that it has a good reliability record and the Ozark is a new model. Kawasaki ought to be ashamed to slap it's consumers in the face with a bigger engine, new front grille and call it an all new Bayou. I think the rags will rate the Ozark #1 followed by the Recon The BearTracker and at the lonley bottom the "new" Bayou.

Personally, I would go with the Ozark 250, Recon 250, or even Rally 200 over the Bayou 250.
Now I had a Recon, and loved it. But right now I would go with the Ozark or Rally, either one would be a good choice, but the Ozark is more conventional, and you have less to worry about going wrong. Go with the Ozark and dont look back, you'll love it.

I agree with all above. The Ozark would be my first choice followed by the Recon. The Bayou 220 or 250 while very reliable suffers from a rather lame excuse for front suspension. It only uses single "A"-Arms which are known to flex under anything more than casual trail riding. The price for the ozark isn't much different and you get good suspension (double "A"-Arms) and modern styling. The only positive is that 220 Bayou's can be had around where I live for as low as $2700.00 brand new.
