your going to be able to buy a new kawisaki sport quad this summer, but its not going to be powered by a 400 4 stroke kawi motor, insteadd its going to be a z400 with green plastic on it. but thats prob a good thing

fez, i don't want to start a flame war here, but i think that the new kawi sport quad using a suzuki motor is a great thing for kawi to do, what 400 class motor does kawi have that they could put in a sport quad? thats right, they dont' have one, therefore it would take them much longer to develope a motor and the sport quad would come out not this summer, but prob 2 summers down the road. i have ridden suzuki's all my life and i have had to rebuild motors, but never becuase of poor engine design, suzuki motors are very reliable; i have also worked on quads for people the past few summers that i have been home from college, i have done work on polaris's, suzuki's, and kawasaki's. i will come right out and say that in my opinion polaris's are sub standard machines. as far as the suzuki's and kawasaki's go i think they they are both reliable. how reliable your machine is all depends on the way that you ride it and that way that you maintain it. I had to rebuild the motor on a bayou 300 this past summer becuase the kid that had it never changed or checked his oil and eventually ran it dry. i also had to rebuild the motor on a lt2504wd a couple summers ago, but it was becuase the guy had it revved all the way out in 4th gear and shifted down into second going down a hill and it over revved it and the valves began to float and they came into contact with the piston and bent the valves. it doesn't matter what brand you ride, as long as you do preventative maintenance and nothing stupid than your motor will last a long time.
