I guess I watch this program for the same reason I buy the magazines: I love wheelers and riding. I personally think Doug and the program are full of ..stuff. I have owned about every quad but the Bomb and could live with any of them. He made remarks about the Bomb, Artic Cat and Polaris that I found were quite unfair. He also cut the Yamaha's locker , but he said it was a Japanese Polaris and thereby you're stupid to buy American. Like someone said in one episode they took a whole day to get 100yds. up a hill with winches. That is'nt my idea of wheeling. I have written and tried to support the guy since he is the ONLY program on TV. Hopefully someone with more talent and imagenation will get a chance.

*** cable can kiss my ***. I have their service and I don't get this channel.

I think that anytime you see a shootout, just flip a coin. You can bet that most times either the Prairie or 700 will always be 1st or 3rd depending on what style of riding the testers prefer. The Grizzly will almost always be 2nd because its the best blend of both.

Its funny how I feel the same way of Dougs results. That is my opinion and nobody is sponsoring me to say that...

he made it a point why "they" prefered the solid axle. Its not for eveyone. i realized he bashed the 700, but for the first time someone had the guts to publicly voice his opinion. Something the magazines dont do anymore. In Dirtwheels month to month results change, and shootouts all seem like draws.

Andy,

My assessment is the same as yours. Either the Kawi 650 or the SP700 will be first or third in most shootouts. The Grizz is the best blend of both and will always be a close second. I considered the Grizz but I could not get it because of lack of availabilty and a few other first-run issues they are having with this model year. I almost bought the 700 and I am glad that I did not. Go on the Polaris page and you see two things: 1) a list of problems which most likely are fixable and will result in a better 2003 SP700. 2) And many 700 owners figuring out that they liked their 500HO's much better. That HO is a great machine in my opinion. But nothing beats the thrill of accelerating a Kawi 650.
