Renthal bars
#1
Well, I put the Renthals on yesterday, finally. I like them pretty well. They are the 250R bend. They are a little longer than the stock bars, so they didn't resolve the long reach when turning, but I've never really had a prob. with that anyway. They are lighter and they do make steering a little lighter as well. I think we'll be hard pressed to find a shorter bar that would resolve the long reach. These had close to the shortest #'s I could find. I do like them so far however. I put the MSR DCS gel grips on too. They work out pretty good as well. Thought I would let you all know what I though.

stebob,
what I was hoping on these type bend bar was a little less fatige on the shoulders, being a taller rider and all
the lighter steering can be attributed to the wider width of bars, the wider they are the less effort it will take to steer.
You can correct the longer reach by cutting the end off the bars with a hack saw, but don't go to narrow, when you get shorter the steering will get harder.
I was hoping to shorten a pair of those up and the extra pull back and hiegth of those bars would help. Hope you try them out in some different ways, maybe help with all the questions I had about them.
