Well we have been talking about it all winter, well it's time to see who's going.
The race is April 20/21st in Hurricane mills, TN.
We should try to get together in the ATV connection chat room to kinda plan things out. Unless you all have big mobile homes and that, Then I would like to go with you!!
So far I know of stebob, 14mins, 98lakota, inthewnd and my self that wants to go, but it's been along winter and maybe some can't go and more want to go, let me know!!!!!

Gaff,
I hate to say it, however, it doesn't look like I'm gonna be able to make it. I really can't swing the extra expense right now. Crunch time is right around the corner. It's about 360 miles from me and at 12 miles to the gallon in my truck, it would just cost too much. We will however get together in the future one way or another. Don't forget the Ironman comes to Crawfordsville, IN in October. I know that is a hell of a drive though. Sorry man. I had also rqst'd for that Monday off, 4/22/02, and was turned down.

I sent 98lakota my 2002 traveling schedule, but I'll post it here also. Note the iron man isn't on it, but possibly doable, if we have any money, bikes or bodies left by that time.
We also are doing some mx in the area, and would like to make one race in the TQRA series over in texas, they have a 350cc class as well!!
4-20...loretta lynns
6-2...Clarksville, KY
6-16...New hope, Alabama
6-30...Three Creeks, Ky
8-11...Saddleback East, Ky
8-25...Gamaliel, Ky
9-21...Mt. Morris, Pa
10-5...St. clairsville, Oh
These aren't the only XC races this year, but the ones we will make.
If we have the time and the money we hope to make a couple more GNCC races, but who knows.
Maybe after a few months when things settle down you may be able to make it out to a few!!!

Gaff and anybody else: I live about 50 miles from LL'S I have done this race(if you can call what I do, is race!)LOL the last two year's. It is the ONLY race I do and I look foward to it all year long. I drive truck for a living so I do not know exactally when I can get home, but I will try to get home a little early so I can maybe get there on Thursday or Friday morning. I am going to try to get a spot next to the track so there is a place to pit. I can save a spot next to me if someone is going to want to camp Friday night.

Hey Gaff, I'm not going to Loretta's. Too many people wanted to go at the same time and we can't close the doors, so no one is going.LOL!!
Is the race in June at New Hope, Alabama a Mid-South event?? I have a race in Mt. Pleasant, MS the week before that. If I'm not too sore the following week and if the budget allows, I might get to attend that one.
Hey NTHEWIND, Do you run any of the Memphis Hare Scramble races?? There are 3 left.
5/19/02...Somerville, TN
6/09/02...Mt. Pleasant, MS
7/28/02...Slayden, MS

The one in new hope is a mid-south event, june 16
I need to look at yalls schedule again and see how close some of those events come to me. It gets rough running the roads in the summer, thats why the spring and fall are the beefy part of our schedule. Although I would like to run some XC if they were just a tad closer.
I see your back inthewnd, hope you were driving away from all that weather they had in the past few weeks.
I'd like to camp at LL, but don't know how cold it will be at that time. This crazy weather with it cold in the south and warm in the north has been killing me.
I actualy thought of camping at the fordsville race a couple weeks ago, it was cancelled due to weather, but man I looked on the weather map that saterday and it was only 20 degrees that saterday.
We will have to see how the weather is, I like camping out better, but any thing under 60 keeps me close to the heater

Trailhog: Got to be a AMA member ,you can join there. I went the last two years , I am not really any kind of "Racer" , but I am telling you I had a Blast!! They stager the start times by a few minutes. Ride at your own pace, move over when faster riders want to pass. It is 2 hours long, the "slow" guys do 3 laps. Have FUN!! See you there? Knows: I can never plan on any times to be home, so I don't plan on any other races.
