Don't have the Sur Trax on YET....by Thurs, though. We're going to Wayne Nat'l Forest(in SE Ohio) this w.e., and I'll give you the report Mon. My frts. haven't arrived yet. They BETTER get here by Thurs. afternoon! I will be VERY VERY upset with E. Ky. Motorsports if they don't!!!!!!!!!! I've been 3 weeks finding/getting these Spider Trax! Yep they are in 26". Didn't want to go bigger because of the weight issue. ALMOST stuck with 25's, and put MaxTrax alround.

So you do have the Sur Traks, your just waiting for the spiders. At least I can ask you a few of questions that can be answered without riding them.
1. Maxxis says that the 26x12-12 is only 9.2 inches wide. How wide is it?
2. Their picture of it makes the tread area look really flat, not rounded like most other treads. Does yours look just like that picture on Maxxis' website? I would love it if you had a picture of it.
3. Can you measure the diameter?
4. How wide is the rim you put them on?
Thankus maximus

I'll measure the Shur Trax tonite. They are on "C" series ITP cast aluminum wheels. I'll have figures tommorrow. I know that the offset is 1" positive on the "C's". In other words the track will be 2"(total) wider than stock. Yes they are a wide/flat cross section tire, and have some aggressive sidewall *****, too.

I just installed an air vent on my 650. I found a 2"x3"x2"high aluminum flange at the hardware store. I cut the airbox lid and installed the flange with a piece of metal window screening between it and the lid. The flange tappers in at the top so I can install a prefilter inside if needed. Now I will make a cover for it incase I need to seal it off.
I fired it up and man am I impressed at the responce it has. I can't wait to try it out. Thanks for the mod guys.
PS. thanks nyroc for the reminder about checking the toe-in. Mine was out by a mile. Nowonder the handlebars shook.

Oshawa, I think most of us wanna see pics of what you did.
Also, I have a pic of the way I measured my toe. http://atv.dnsalias.com/atv/prairie6...ir=&pic=20
I put my stock tires back on for this, since I wanted to measure the rim parallelism. My Mudzillas are stiff and have big **** on them that make it hard to measure toe.
I set my toe at 0 this time. I have not ridden it yet.
I have three tidbits of toe wisdom.
1. A lot of toe causes the handlebars to jerk at higher speeds, on uneven terrain. I could not notice it on pavement, way too smooth.
2. Too much toe out causes wandering.
3. Too much toe in causes overcorrection.

Nice Trailer. I see a dog there too.
I see the tires are more rounded than Maxxis shows them.
I see the full 26" diameter.
I am concerned about the width of the Sur Traks. It looks like 9.5", but is hard to tell in the photo. It looks like you started from 1" and not the end.
I guess I really wish they were 12" wide.
