I was looking through last month's issue of ATV-4 WHEEL ACTION, and they said they will have a sneek-peak at an all new Kawasaki! Kawasaki told them that this new machine will "be mostly sport, with a little bit of utility thrown in." I am hoping that it will be a sporty four-by to compete with Yamaha's Wolverine, and Polaris's Scramblers. What do you Kawasaki Fans think?

Sounds like maybe a 4wd lakota. That would be competitive with the wolverine.

As I posted here earlier, it'll be a sport atv in the 600cc range.

When I read this topic my ears perked up!!

If Kawaski was to build a 600cc, 4-stroke, auto clutch/manual transmission, shaft drive, LSD in the front, 8.0+ inches of wheel travel, with an emphasis on "Sport" with a little utility thrown in for good measure, I would make a trail to my local Kawie dealer to put money down on one of these machines.

I believe that if Kawaski does not build this machine, Bombardier will. I have a friend who has a friend (really I do have a friend) who works for the Recreational Products Division of Bombardier. He said the they are 12 months away from releasing just such an ATV.

Patiently waiting for someone to manufacture just such an ATV,
John

P.S. Does anyone out there have a mole at Kawaski.

Is this new Mojave 400 going to be based on the KLX300 engine, DOHC and liquid cooling?

Will it be released 2001 or 2002?

Thanks for the info.

Isn't Kawasaki also making something around a 90cc ATV for the younger riders. Something that would be a great learning bike for first time (young) riders?

I am not sure if it is going to be the mojave 400.
Maybe it could be a 500, I hope it would ba DOHC but I don´t know
But what I am sure is that it would be something like the mojave but faster and better.

Chainsaw, I really hope you are right. If so I might be riding green (Kawaski) next year.

Thanks for the info,
John
