I emailed Kawasaki yesterday due to my dissatisfaction due to one of their selling points of the 650 it had "standard mounts for an accessory Warn 2000 Series winch" That came straight out of their own sales brochure. I emailed then and asked for them to send me the mount and here was their reply:

Rob-

We would like to thank you for the purchase of a Kawasaki ATV. We regret that your recent contact to us was in regards to your dissatisfaction with the wording of our brochure. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer you the mounting plate to install your winch. That item will need to be purchase from your dealer.

We thank you for allowing us the opportunity to review your information and
respond to your request.

What a load of crap they advertise this quad ready for a winch and its clearly not. I dont think its rite at all. I feel that they should either change the wording to thier ad of give me the mount plain and simple. Thats just my 2 cents. What do you guys think?

Um, I put the 2500 winch on mine, I used the bracket that comes in the box of the old 2000 lb Warn.Warn has changed the bracket that comes with the winch. It would still work okay, though. You just hafta cut the slot for the cable to run through.

I wouldn't want to use that area any way. That is to low for my likes and if you want to use a plow with it it is off center any way. Just my oppinion.

I definately see your point montess, but the Warn just fits in there so nice and neat..It defiately wouldn't work as well for a plow,,But I won't be putting one on anyway,,and the lower the better for pulling yourself out of the goo.Just gotta keep that hook up where you can get at it when you need it.
