HEY, a post about a Bayou 220, not a Prarie 650, how unique!

Just tossed out the stock front shocks on my Bayou 220 and replaced them with a good used set of LT230 Quadsport units. What a difference! Does NOT bottom out on jumps any more and handles MUCH better too. I did have to lower the bottom shock mount about 1/2 inch to restore ride level and reduce the "pigeon toe" that a 220 has. The LT230 shock is about 1/2 inch longer but you can reuse the stock Bayou hardware. The Bayou is fun to ride again! Gonna take it out to the woods tommorow and see how it handles the whoops. Anything would be better than it was. What do all you Bayou 220 riders think?

It took about a year but it might take you less time to wear them out if you ride it hard. The wife and kid rode it for about a year or I used it as pit transportation at NHRA races. It wasn't long after we started riding it hard that the shocks went away. Maybe it has something to do with my big butt discovering the joys of jumping? Naa, I'll just blame it on Kawasaki. Off to the woods we go!!
