I am currently in a bind on what kind of quad i want. My friend has a 1993 suzuki LT 230 quadrunner for $1,500 and its it great condition. But i want something newer. I was thinking a Kawasaki Mojave and i wanted your guy's advice. I want to put nerf bars, pipes, and Razor tires on the quad i buy. would it be a better buy to purchase the suzuki or the kawasaki Mojave? i also want to race MX at all the local tracks. what would compete better without spending a fortune? I only have $2,000 to deal with right now. Or is there some other kind of quad i should be looking at for my needs? I'm 16, 5' 7, 130lbs. I appriciate the help!

a quade sport 230 arnt woth that mutch mony anymore and a stock 230 engine dosent have that mutch performance. I have a Kawaski mojave 250 with razr tires. But besides the tires it is completly stock. my mojave can keep up with all my frends top quades like 400ex's. my freind has a 230 ith many mods and im still able to beat him in everything we do so a mojave is a beter bet.

apperantly mojave kid did not notice you 2000 dollar limit
first thing to do would be get rid of you stock air box and put on a clamp on a 25$ way to get 2 or 3 horses then get tires
dont worry about suspension for now it is way to expensive and the stock is alright for anything under a 30 foot double
then i would get nerfs bumper a kill switch so when somthin does go wrong on the track it dont turn into a 1000 $ mistake just hurts your pride with these minor mods you will do great
