Smoothe hood for the lakota

I talked to maeir today and they said they could get me a hood no problem but i have a question about the ignition key where do you re-locate it to? I know Gaff and 98 lakota have the smooth hoods where did you guys put yours?

Man i had a smoothy hood off a 250r, that i modded to fit!!Now it broke on the weekend(hit a tree) so where would i be able to find a Real smoothy hood for the mojave????I live in canada so can any one help??????

I talked to Maier about a month and a half ago and they told me they didn't have any black smoothy hoods in stock. It would be a special order piece and might take a couple of months to get it done. I ended up making mine from a piece of sheet aluminum. I made a tab to hold my key switch and mounted it to one of the bolts that holds the handlebars on.

Just unplug you key switch and then you won't have to worry with it anymore.
It's not really protecting anything anyway-you don't have to cut and splice to make it start w/o the key-just unplug the switch.
