I have noticed my oil light comes on every time I ride though 10" of water or more I am pretty sure the bike is not hot since the cooling fan is not even on yet. Plus when the bike is warm the light never comes on and the fan works fine when it need extra cooling in tight woods riding or drag racing. Does anyone else have this problem????

No I have not seen this problem. My oil light only comes on when I first start it.

I could be wrong, but I thought the oil light was a pressure light, not temp. If it occurs only after water crossings, it is probably just a messed up connection at the sending unit.

the light is indeed a pressure guage. if it is coming on when you go through deep water then you have a short somewhere. heh, 10" of water wont even get my diff's wet

Check the boot and the connector at the oil pressure sending unit. It could be grounding out in the water, causing the lite to come on. The sender is right on the frt lower edge of the engine, just below the starter. Poke around in that area, If you have a manual, it will show you a pic of what you are looking for.
