650 smoke
#1
Hey everybody. I am new to this website and had a few questions about my 650. Whenever I start my machine after it has been sitting it smokes for awhile not sure if I need to do some carb adjustments or not. Also I can only seem to 60 mph out of the 650 and just wondering if there are some things I can check to fi x this? My wheeler has about 200 miles on it so it should be broke in enough and everything is stock. Any help would well be appreciated. Thanks Brad

Guys when mine was stock it would do 62 mph, I now have and HMF slip on Twin Air filter, and dyno jet kit,it does 66 mph now, but I can't get 67 no matter what I do, I think they should be a little faster, have the dealer check them if they are still under warranty, if you guy's have never had the valve's adjusted, carb's sync'ed and belt deflection adjusted. I'm betting this is the problem......

Ruger, I had the same problem after a few miles too it might be the choke lodging in the carbs. My dealers mechanic because he didn't have the new update from Kawi did this and you can try it too. Extract the choke cables from the carbs, exspand the spring that pushes the plunger back to starting point and lube the tube the whole assembly works in. The old part # is 54017-1216 the new one is #54017-1222 you can see this on Nyrocs web site much more beefyer spring and longer cable. Mine works much better. Kawi dealer replace for free but you can also without much hasle. Oh yes the contact number is 949 770-0400 EXT. 2467 this person is very helpfull.
