I know that I am a bookworm, but digging through the owners manual of my new Prairie 650, I noticed that the factory recommends stopping before shifting between 2x4 and 4x4. The dealer stated that this was OK. What gives? Anyone have any problems with shifting on the fly or is this just Kawasaki CYOA?

Conman I shift my on the fly alot. I first time it put it in 4x4 it takes sometime so I found that it is quicker to put it in reverse and back up it lockes in to 4x4 fast for some reason. After that it only takes a sec for it to lock in on the fly.
