Hello everyone, bet you all thought I died or something! I had the honor of helping John Pellan of Fast-Trak Promotions put on an ATVA Maxxis GNC TT Race here if Fort Dodge. All I can say is that I have a renewed respect for promoters!

Anyway the purpose of thethis post is that I am going to Canada on a three week business trip and while I am there I want to get my hands on one of those mysterious black boxes for the Kaw 650. I understand they are only available in Canada. If any of you fellow Canadian riders know where I might be able to get a hold of one please e-mail me and let me know. Thanks.

P.S. My son is doing better and should be out of the hospital sometime in mid-August. My family and I truely appreciate all the e-mails and prayers.

The black box is the computer box that controls all of the vitals and what the engine does. It retards or advances the timing etc... I overheard at the show in Indy that riders in Canada are replacing their black boxes with aftermarket ones and experiencing a tremendous improvement in performance. Maybe it's a hoax but I sure would like to get my hands on one if it's not.

Oldman, 1bearman at DiamondG has been telling us about his CDI developments. He says timing improvments give the 650 gobs more low end and high end. I think we (on this forum) all told him we were ok with the 93 octane requirement. The CDI work has been done for a while, I think manufacturing may have been delayed for two other products that DiamondG is selling.

I get all excited just thinkin about the CDI and I wish he would hurry it up. I have had the cash for a CDI stashed under my keyboard for a long time.

I called Bearman for info on his CDI. Sounds like the answer. I did end up ordering his snorkle set up and will replace my current arrangment with his product.
