Mich660Griz

Goodday I live in Alberta just a little above Edmonton it would be around 10 hour drive to the Sates border and Michigan would another 40 hour drive to boot. I would love to have you and your wife join our little group. Unless you have a week to travel its a long distance to go just for a couple of days.

To get a run going it was pretty easy as the group I go with have a strong fellowship and there is constantly anywhere from 6 to 10 guys with family that quad together. We quad around Rocky Mountain House mostly as it is somewhat central to biking and 40 minuits to a major centre. If now one has an RV they can hotel it if necessary. Something else that is interesting, the boys will go for an adventure on some muddy trails and after they return the girls will venture out. We always send a gentlemen to ride with the girls incase there is any trouble that the girls can't handle, but the girls get into as much muck and mire as the guys do maybe even more.

What I will do Ron is I have your web name, I will send you more information that will help probably in about 5 days. Right now I am moving from my farm to an acreage closer to the city as most of my business generates from there. So my computer will be shut down for a few days. Yes if you are interested I will definately help you and your wife get involved. You will have some hasles but if all you get is a smile and a handshake it is truly worth it.

Great work on the program. I am glad to see someone putting things in perspective.

How many Munchkins usually attend each gathering? Perhaps I can donate some t-shirts and stickers for prize drawings.

I just happened to be poking my nose in other rooms and seen this post.(i'm under my fiance's screen name, just because woman like to be nosey)lol... but on the serious side of things. This is the best thing i have heard in a long time and brought more then 1 tear to my eyes. You ALLTOYS are a very special, unigue and selfless man and your wife too. I think we all sit around thinking what can we do but, you did more than that. For that i feel amazingly happy to know that there are people like you and your wife and the others that you recruited into this program that are making a difference in someones life and sharing in their smiles and laughs. A friend of mine just lost her 3 year old son to cancer and she had an amazing person like you, who just wanted to do something to help make mikey happy. And that he did. And you are doing the same for others. In my book you and everyone involved are the best. I hope all is well with your family and continues to do well. God Bless You All... much respect to all..... bye, Rhonda T.

1Bearman,jlpier1,terd:

Its good to be back it took about 5 days to move mostly everything now it is the unpacking " YUK "!!! I am really overwhelmed with the response of my Munchkin Club. All my wife and I ever hoped for is to give the kids something else to think of instead of the constant doctors pocking, and prodding. My younge Shawn had 10 spinal taps in one month, and if you have ever had one you now the lasting impression it can leave. He didn't complane once, if anything he is my HERO and so are all my other Munchkins.

All we can accomodate on our Munchkin runs are about 10 kids we started this 2 years ago and every year there are more wanting to go. Unfortuneatly we can only take the kids that are physically able, to say no to the others litteraly breaks my heart. We do manage to take some terminally ill kids as this is one of their last requests and I wont let them down not if I can help it.

I have to go onto something else, yes Bearman we didn't think of prizes but that might be fun to have like who can get the muddiest, the most stuck and so on. Sounds interesting I will keep this in mind and we talk later take care fellows.

Alltoys,
that is a fantastic project that you are doing that really makes a big diffrence in the kids that need help the most. the smiles are priceless..
there are good things that can be done with quads, bikes, sleds, & all other toys for sure, mainly the ones being used by the bike clubs down here (Southern Cruisers, HOG, GWRRA, etc) are poker runs, especially for childens needs, childrens home, toys for tots, St Judes, MDA, Pediatriac Brain Research, but yours has a special touch to the parties involved. I've noticed that in the bike world Most riders will enthusiatically support childrens needs,& give back to the community.

I'm deeply moved...& my hat's off to you, if there is anyway I can be of assistance, let me know. thanks for the post & reminding us of the true perspectives, and that while what we have is not important, what we do with it can make a diffrence.
