mojave cheap fix
#1
hey guys i am new here. i was wondering if any of you guys were turning your front wheels around to make your mojave front end wider?I have been doing this and waswonderingif it was maybe hardon the a-arms?

It is harder on the spindles, more likely to bend one. But they are generaly tough enough to handle it. I have been running reverse offset wheels on two Mojaves for years with no problems. this includes hard rec riding and MX too.

I'm not questioning weather it's harder or not on the spindles or bearings.
What I can say is I flipped mine some time ago and have raced it very hard this past year in XC and MX. I have checked for problems quite often and found none yet.
It makes a huge difference in handling.

On mine the stubbies hit as well. I took the valve stems out and super glued the caps on. Then I stuck them in the holes backwards. Then I drilled new holes on the otherside and put valve stems in the correct way.
I have raced I can't tell you how many races this way with absolutely no problems.

can you get stubby stems at any auto parts store? What size are they? What size hole did you drill? I was thinking that I would buy the stubby stems and put them in upside down and then reinstall the stock ones on the other side. Does widening the front end with widening the back end affect the handling poorly? thanks for the help.
