Does anyone know what improvements, if any have been made to the 2003 over the 2002. I am holding off waiting for the 2003. It has been said that the technology in this machine could be expensive down the road when it comes to fixing problem, any comments.

I already have an 03 and there exactly the same..just a dif. color....

 

Thanks for the reply, so they didn't address or change anything that might have been an issue with the 2002? I just found out that the 2003 won't be available here in nova scotia till oct. Do ya think a person would be better off waiting till the 2003 came out as oppose to getting a 2002? thanks again

 

I just got off the phone with a Kawasaki consumer rep. and here is what he said will be different on the '03 model.

Towing hitch standard now
Drain fitting added on belt cover
Check belt indicator relocated in dash for easier reading
Modified EBS system in some way... (he was vague on this item)
And of course, colors

So there you go. Second hand from the Kawi guy...

 

Yes... I would wait. These are more than meaningless changes (like new colors or graphics).

 

Ohhh!!! And I almost forgot. He also said they have changed to a new larger air filter assembly for better flow. Sorry... Can anybody say short term memory loss?? [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

I will go look at the '03 air filter soon. I would like to see this change.

 

So where is the "check belt indicator" now? and can these modifications (EBS, drain fitting) be done on hte 02's

 

Ok, help me out here? What is the EBS system??? Or do you mean (KEBC) Kawasaki Engine Braking Control?
