break the bead

I got one of those harbour freight tools bead breakers as well. It is garbage. Can't break any beads. It just bends. I saw that someone is selling the same bead breakers on ebay, and is getting more money than what harbor freight is selling them for. I feel sorry for the people buying them because they are terrible.

It takes a lot of force to push those beads down. I bent the first bead breaker I made. I copied it using thicker square tube. Now it is hungry for ATV tires. I love it, and am anxious to use it on my friend's tires.

I tried everything I could think of.I even had my Peterbilt on a 4x4 board that was pushing against the bead.The board broke!I stole moms ginsue knife and cut the tire off the rim then used a die grinder to carefully cut the metal part of the bead off of the rim.

Teh ford truck is a expensive bead breaker glad you found a good use for one of them (Ford Truck)[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
