I'm planning on replacing my Dunflops with one of these two brands, GBC Dirt Devil, or Titan 489 X/Tthere both 6ply tires. Anyone have any Pros and Cons?

I have never run them myself, but I have been told they are both great tires. I guess it would boil down , next, to price and weight in your decision process. Good luck. See my sig. for my tires. These are in 26". "nyroc" runs GY Mud runners in frt., I run Spiders. We both run Shur-Trax in back. Great combo for the terrain I run! Both set ups are in nyroc's 650 Website. Check 'em out!

I have stock size Devils on my 650. I love the grip for my riding in loose stuff and rocky trails. They are a bit shorter than the stock dunfolps. I would rather have them in 26 inch.

With my type of riding in the mountains, I did not want to raise my center of gravity. They are pretty heavy though.

I would seriously look into sur traks as they are very light and have simlilar tread designs as the dirt devils

The 27 are about the same size as stock and they bring the rolling distance closer. The rear tire is actually 1 inch shorter in the rolling distance than the Dunflops

...just remember, what makes a great mud tire might be a terrible tire on hard pack. I have a friend who has vampires on his, and when we are out of the mud, his is horrible on trails or flat fields. I think the 589 series tires are supposed to be good in mud or on hardpack. The reviews I have read on the MS state they are great in either application. Go to atvconnection.com and search. I am sure there are some good articles to help you with your decision. I am about a month away from new 589 MS's for mine. Good luck!

I'm really not lookin for a mud tire. I just want a good all around stock size tire that's 6ply, and not to heavy.

UHHHH..... 6ply, and light weight just don't go together. It's a trade-off- a puncture-resistant tire, or a light weight tire...you can't have both.

Nope that's pretty good. Didn't realize the 489 6-ply could be that lite. I'd go with those. Also, you might ask around the shops in your area for recommendations. Local riders would have a good handle on what works on your home "turf". Good luck.
