I was looking at Kawasaki's web page at the SERVICE SPECIFICATIONS page. I printed the specs out for the 03, later I decided to go back, but I accidentally brought up the KVF650A1 2002's spec sheet. I noticed for the engine oil capacity w/filter change is 1.75 liters? Were as the KVF650A2 2003 says engine oil capacity w/filter change is 2.05 liters? Is it just a typo?

If you read the 2002 owners manual, it states that the capacity with filter change is 1.75 and then it states that a totally empty engine is 2.05. I am not that familiar with the Kawasaki engine, but 30% of a quart is sure alot to be hiding somewhere in there. When I change my oil, I allow plenty of drain time and always put 2 quarts in. Runs like a champ!

ConMan, looks like it was just a typo. I don't have a 2002 manual, it's a 2003.
You say 2 quarts is what you put in your's? Correct me if I'm wrong but 2 quarts is = 1.90 liters.
