The Mojave is king everywhere but acceleration and that ain't much difference after a few gears. Don't take these B/S magazines seriously. They have to keep there cash cow advertisers happy (Honda & Yamaha).

The Blaster fairs well in Magazines because you'll usually find that Jeremy McGrath/Yamaha add just inside the cover or on the back cover of the magazine. You'll also find the Blaster on that add. Gotta keep'em happy and paying the bucks for it.

Do yourself a favor and spend the extra $1,000 on a better machine now or waste a $1,000+ on the Blaster's brakes and other B/S in the very near future.

Don't see any Mojave owners in here whining about having to fix there quads do you?

Even though both of these quads need an upgrade, at least Kawi has a good excuse. I don't even see where there is a question about the better quad. The question is which you are willing to pay for?

I was told by a Yamaha dealer that Blasters (along with t-wolves) were "disposable" atv's...with the cable drum brakes, cheaply done ball joints (that CAN come apart- mine did on my old '89 years ago at around 40 MPH on a fire road- I flipped SEVERAL times, even busted the chinguard on my helmet when I landed!!) and not-so-very-well sealed bearings. But some people love them..they are cheap and mods are plentiful.
Never had a Mojave, but I rode one once and it wasn't nearly as bad as the mags make them out to be..plus it was small, lightweight feeling and very "flickable". To me, Blaster brakes are inexcusable- it would be worth a price increase for hydraulic discs!!
